Virtual Assistant Business Forms FAQ

I do not live in the United States. Are your Virtual Assistant business forms okay for Virtual Assistants to use outside of America or are they specifically designed for use only in America?

Our forms are beneficial to all Virtual Assistants, no matter what country they are in as they cover aspets of doing business with clients that are universal. What's important and special about our Virtual Assistant Business Forms is that they cover important business concepts and terms unique to the relationship between Virtual Assistants and clients and need to be formalized in order to have a mutually equitable and professional business relationship.

What may or may not be universal is some of the legal language or formatting they should be in specific to your country or location. While our Virtual Assistant Business Forms are very thorough and comprehensive, as with any legal document and template, it is always advised that you consult with an attorney so that he or she can review and fine-tune your final draft. The templates can save you money in this case because the attorney is not drafting them from scratch.

How much do the the Virtual Assistant business forms, tools and guides cost in US dollars?

All of our products are listed in U.S. dollars. Upon checkout, PayPal does the currency conversion automatically. If you'd like to calculate in advance what your particular exchange rate will be, you can use a free tool such as XE Currency Converter.

Having no credit cards at the moment, what are my payment options?

We only accept payment by debit or credit card or e-check via PayPal. We do not accept money orders or hardcopy check. Paying by debit or credit card is instantaneous and the download links for your purchases will be sent immediately to you by email once you checkout. If you pay by e-check, it will take 3-7 business days before the forms are released pending completion of the e-check processing.

I don't have a PayPal account. Can I still pay by debit or credit card? What about e-check?

Absolutely. You do not need a PayPal account to pay by debit or credit card. Once you have selected all your products, click the button to checkout. On the screen that comes up, simply click the button that says "continue" underneath the bolded section on the left that says "Don't have a PayPal account?" That will take you a screen to fill in your debit or credit card details (which must match your billing information exactly). Simple as that.

How to pay if you don't have a PayPal account

You will need a PayPal account to pay by e-check.

Why do I need to have clients sign a contract in order to work with me?

You don’t have to do anything; however, it’s never in your best interests as a business owner to work without a signed contract in place (not to mention at least some partial, if not full, upfront payment). Business is business only when there is a fair and equitable exchange of benefits. The client pays for work to be conducted or executed on his or her behalf in exchange for a fee that you determine will fairly compensate you for the value of your time, skill, knowledge and expertise. However, you as the business owner have a greater burden of risk and liability in this exchange. This is why we use contracts in business: to formalize in writing all the expectations and terms of the relationship so that everyone knows what their obligations and considerations to each other are, as well as their rights and recourses. It just helps keep everyone honest and on the same page. In case anyone’s memory fails them, a written agreement is there to remind and legally uphold those promises and understandings made to each other. In a worst case scenario, a written agreement is easier to enforce than an oral agreement.

I'd like to see a proposal form for Virtual Assistants. Do you plan to offer something like that in the future?

There are some forms that we very intentionally do not and will not offer, the proposal form being one of them. Virtual Assistants aren't selling line-item projects and services; they are selling a relationship of ongoing support. Proposals are for project work and are typically requested by those who want to "audition" the lowest bidders. Proposals are generally a waste of time and not worth the effort that is put into them, especially when there is no guarantee that you will land the contract or the money just isn't worth it. We hate to see Virtual Assistants put through that. There are much faster, more profitable ways to grow your business without devaluing your work or dishonoring your time. We encourage Virtual Assistants who want to be financially successful to steer clear of that thinking and instead learn how to consult with clients.

By the way, the forms are AWESOME!!! I'm shocked that you don't charge more.

I wanted to keep the basics very affordable because I know that most Virtual Assistants start their businesses very poorly capitalized. However, the more advanced, “intensive” stuff, if you will—my premium tools—are priced more in keeping with the value of the business knowledge and education in them. They are worth every penny and more.

Help! I can't find my forms. Will you resend me the download links?

Once you've made your purchase, links are good for 120 hours or 5 attempts—plenty of time for you to download the products to your computer. These limits are in place to help protect our intellectual property. If extenuating circumstances occur, we will be happy to reactivate your links if it's within 90 days of your original purchase and you shoot us an email explaining what happened.
