From the EditorThe trick to successfully running a solo business is, paradoxically, not doing everything solo. By strategically utilizing the expertise of key professionals — like a Virtual Assistant (hint, hint) — you leverage their time and skill to create more of your own. Tracey Lawton shares a great example this week illustrating how a Virtual Assistant can manage your email list and execute your marketing campaigns and special promotions. Be fierce!
How to Leverage Your Time by Partnering with a Virtual Assistant
"Please tell me what a Virtual Assistant does exactly. I would love to be informed. I struggle with tracking and paperwork definitely. I registered for Constant Contact® to stay in touch with my clients and have no idea how to use it so it sits there... I think I'm not organized enough!" This is a great question, one Virtual Assistants are frequently asked. So how exactly can a Virtual Assistant help clients leverage their time? Virtual Assistants can do a variety of tasks depending on their area of expertise. Since email list management was mentioned, let's use that as an example of how a Virtual Assistant can help YOU with your e-zines and special offers. In this particular scenario, your Virtual Assistant could assist you in managing and running your list campaigns by:
A Virtual Assistant who knows the ins and outs of list management tools like Aweber® and Constant Contact® can show you how to log into your account; view your leads and subscribers; and read and download reports showing how many opened the messages and who clicked through to your offer pages. Your only role would be to send your Virtual Assistant your client data, the content and approve the messages. If you were to undertake these tasks yourself, how much time would learning, implementing, and then managing all this take you? By leveraging a Virtual Assistant's time, you create more time for yourself to focus your efforts elsewhere, while she is taking care of your email marketing. RESOURCE: Constant Contact® helps small businesses, associations and nonprofits connect with their customers, clients and members. Sending an effective email newsletter is a powerful way to stay in regular touch with your customers or members. By staying on their radar, they'll be sure to think of you first the next time they need a product or service you offer! Constant Contact® also has a wide choice of pre-designed HTML templates, all of which can be customized to fit your own business.
