WORKING WITH VIRTUAL ASSISTANTS ISSUE

In This Issue:

A Note from Danielle...

It's the little things.... It always is, isn't it? The "little" things are never truly "little." Taken as a whole, they usually represent something much bigger. This week's article talks about how minimizing or hanging onto the "little things" can actually hold you back in business and keep you from moving forward.

Yours in goodness and success!

Danielle K.

But I Only Need These Little Things Done

*One of the things we Virtual Assistants often hear from clients is some variation of the theme on why they try to do everything themselves in their businesses:

"But I only need these little things done... they don't take much time or effort or skill."

"It's just as easy for me to do it."

"In the time it takes to me to email it, I could have gotten it done already."

But here's the thing... all those tiny moments can and do add up to huge chunks of time and energy—resources that could be better spent on building your business. You see, the value in having ongoing administrative support from a Virtual Assistant isn't in the tasks per se. It's in what that Virtual Assistant's support allows you to achieve and accomplish because you aren't spending your own time laboring over minutiae.

Think about it. When you expend your time and effort on the "little things," you are chipping away at those vital, critical resources you need to tap into your creativity and stay focused and energized. If you fritter those things away, you may not have any left to spare. Ideas and products that you've been meaning to implement languish forever on the back burner.

Plus, all those "little things" take up space in your head. They crowd out ideas and dilute the mental energy you need to take action. By the time you get done taking care of them, you may not have anything left for the more important stuff. You give away your critical thinking and brain space by trying to do it all yourself.

Don't hang on to the "little things" because it's "easier." It doesn't matter how hard or how easy they may be. The point is to give them away so that you can move forward. What are you trying to achieve in your business? Where do you want to focus your time and energy? What work or projects are you trying to get done? Because the act of giving away the "little things" (or the big things, for that matter) can mean all the difference in whether or not you are able to work with X number of additional clients per month, create those new passive income streams, complete that latest program that will represent $X more in additional annual revenues or write that new book that will generate more publicity and expert status.

And the greatest thing about all this is that you don't have to remain a prisoner to this thinking. A Virtual Assistant can unshackle you from your administrative burdens... all you have to do is let go. It really will set you free to soar in your business.

New Service for Clients: Quickie Gigs

Quickie Gigs: It's a Snap! The VACOC has a new service for clients we call Quickie Gigs. Here's the idea:

The core business of a Virtual Assistant is providing one-on-one, ongoing administrative support to clients they work with in long-term, continuous relationship. We always encourage clients to go that route because it's where you are going to reap the most rewards in terms of value, continuity and cost-effectiveness. However, if you have not yet found your right Virtual Assistant or you are between Virtual Assistants, but still have occasional tasks and projects you'd like completed, we can help you out!

Quickie Gigs is primarily for simple, straightforward administrative tasks and projects that can generally be completed and turned-around in few days with no fuss or muss. You fill out our online form with the project specs and once the preliminary account set-up is completed, we'll get to work right away.

Everything is simple! You sign only one contract (this will cover our terms for one year in case you have other occasional projects that pop up) and each project will be quoted on a flat fee basis (easier for you to budget). For more information, be sure and check out our Quickie Gigs page.
