WORKING WITH VIRTUAL ASSISTANTS ISSUE
In This Issue:
A Note from Danielle...
Business owners who learn about Virtual Assistants love the idea of partnering
with an administrative expert. Problem is, when it comes down to the practical
matter of actually choosing the right one, many don't know where
to start. Nicole Paull is here this week with some direction for you.
Yours in goodness and success :)

Finding the Best Administrative Solution for You
As
a small business owner, the most precious resource you have is your time.
And likely, you don’t want to be spending your working hours on
tasks that aren’t actively contributing to your bottom line.
For many business owners, this includes getting help with administrative
tasks. To have a smoothly run business, these tasks need to be done. But
many, if not most, don’t have to be done by you, the business owner.
A Virtual Assistant can fill this gap. But if you Google Virtual Assistance,
it will take you hours to sort through all of the results, and time is
the very thing you’re trying to conserve. Furthermore, the first
Virtual Assistant you come across isn’t necessarily going to be
the best one for you.
You want someone who has excellent technical, business and interpersonal
skills, since all of these will benefit you, as a client of the VA. But
your best match will also click with the culture of your business and
with the personality and work style of you, the business owner. Finally,
no matter how personable someone is, you won’t be able to trust
a Virtual Assistant to support you well unless he or she is deeply committed
to living and doing business with high ethics. So just how can you find
this ideal Virtual Assistant?
It helps to know of resources who’ve already done some of the nuts-and-bolts
prerequisite work for you, who can refer you to Virtual Assistants who
have demonstrated a high level of skills and a commitment to ethical behavior.
It also helps to be guided through questions and criteria that will help
you determine a good match once you receive referrals. But before you
talk to anyone, you need a quick way of determining whether or not virtual
assistance is the best solution for your administrative needs… it
may not be.
The good news is that a free guide with all of the above is available.
RESOURCE: I've written an insider's
guide on How
to Choose the Right Virtual Assistant for You, which is
a great supplement to the VACOC Client Guide.
