Heard & Overheard: Cleaning Up Is Easy, TooBen Miller, Puget Sound Business JournalTACOMA WA, May 4, 2007--Speaking of wild times, how about when virtual assistants get together for a virtual party? Virtual assistants are people who work for someone who doesn't have the physical space to hire an on-site administrative assistant. The boss can be in New York and the virtual assistant can be in Seattle; everything's done over the computer. So when it's time to party, why not a virtual party? Danielle Keister, founder of the Virtual Assistance Chamber of Commerce in Tacoma, has held virtual parties for virtual assistants and says they go great. Using the same technology that companies use to conduct webinars, or Web seminars, Keister said virtual guests played online holiday games at a Chrismas virtual party, where they traded gifts at an online gift exchange and also had a "pretend buttet" where guests could type in what types of food and drink they brought to the event. "No designated drivers needed" for a virtual party, Keister said.
